Why do the elderly have special foot care needs?
When elderly patients come to our practice they can present with problems both on the on the outside and/or on the inside of the foot.
Foot problems can in some cases, also be secondary indications of a systemic disease or inherited conditions such as arthritis, diabetes or cardiovascular disease; or they can indicate problems with lower limb pathomechanics (mechanical foot discorders).
These are then exacerbated by lifestyle and the choice of footwear.
At Lane Cove Podiatry we find solutions for painful feet. |
